Recce | Pacenotes

Recce and pacenotes app

Record the recce with the phone fixed in the car and the app writes a note for every corner. Replay the drive with a spoken co-driver, correct the notes and print the book. Recce mode keeps you inside the speed limits.

Free download. Pacenotes are in early access and free during the beta. Recce runs on the free daily Pro fuel.
Works without mobile signal — GPS is all it needs.

Live pacenotes during a recce: the latest calls with grades, and the distance since the last corner

What it does

Speed limits per section

Enter the limits from the regulations. The limit on screen changes by itself along the stage.

Overspeed warning

The sign turns red and the app beeps the moment you go over the limit.

A note per corner

Grade, length, tightens and opens, and phases. Crest calls are optional.

Live and spoken calls

Watch the notes arrive during the recce, and let the app read them aloud.

Replay

Replay the drive on the map or on your own film from the rear camera, with a spoken co-driver.

Edit every note

Flip left and right, change the grade, add a phase, move a crest. Reset to the generated note at any time.

Printable pacenote book

Open the notes as a PDF, 6 to 12 lines per page, and print it.

Any mount angle

The app works out the phone's orientation itself. The mount just has to stay put.

Recce and pacenotes guide

From recording the recce to printing the notes. Recce day in the stage rally guide covers the speed limits.

An aid, not a guarantee

Generated notes can be wrong, most of all on flat roads or when the mount moves. Check them on a second pass. Reading the road stays with the driver and co-driver.

Free and Pro

Free download for iPhone and Android. Pacenotes are free during the beta and use no Pro fuel. Recce is a Pro mode: without a subscription it runs on the free daily Pro fuel.
